Katy, Texas – August 2025 — This summer, El Sistema Texas established itself as a national benchmark in youth music education by participating in the YOLA National Overture & Symphony Orchestra 2025 with 12 talented students—the highest number among all programs selected across the United States.
Under the artistic direction of Maestro Gustavo Dudamel and organized by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the YOLA National Orchestra is one of the most prestigious youth music gatherings in the country. It brings together outstanding young musicians for an intensive experience of rehearsals, masterclasses, and performances on iconic stages, fostering collaboration and artistic excellence.
In this edition, El Sistema Texas shared the stage with renowned institutions such as Boston String Academy, El Sistema Orlando, El Sistema Tampa, YOLA at HOLA, Juilliard Pre-College, TX Symphony Ballet, among others.
The remarkable participation of El Sistema Texas reflects the commitment of its educational community: an exceptional teaching team, engaged families, and students who combine discipline, talent, and passion for music. More than an artistic achievement, this experience strengthens the organization’s mission to transform lives and communities through free, high-quality music education.
