Simón Cabrera
Born in Caracas into a family of musicians, I am the son of the late Maria Colón de Cabrera, a prominent cultural figure in Venezuela. My musical journey began in 1983 at the “José Reyna School of Music,” where I graduated in clarinet in 2014. I furthered my studies at the “Juan Manuel Olivares National School of Music.”
Currently, I am completing my composition studies with Maestro Miguel Astor and actively participate in the Venezuela Cuatro Ensemble and the “Venezuelan Virtual Parish” (PVV) Ministry in Houston.
I am a founding member of the “José Reyna School of Music Band” and the University Central of Venezuela (UCV) Fire Department Band. I also play a crucial role in the “Rafael Suárez Polyphonic Choir.”
