Week 2: Children’s Orchestra

🗓️ July 7 – 11

8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

👦 Ages: 8 to 12 years | 🎓 Grades: 3rd to 6th grade
🎵 Minimum 6 months of experience required

🎻 Rehearsals with the Overture Orchestra
🎼 Instrumental technique development
🎶 Group activities to enhance musicality and leadership

Week 3: Advanced Orchestra

🗓️ July 14 – 18
👩‍🏫 Ages: 8 to 17 years | 🎓 Grades: 4th to 12th grade
🎵 Minimum 2 years of experience required

🎻 Rehearsals with advanced and challenging repertoire
🎼 Masterclasses with professional musicians and special guests
🎶 Chamber ensembles and stage performance practice
🎭 Grand Finale Concert celebrating El Sistema Texas’ anniversary

Special Activities

✅Live performances with guest artists and outstanding students

✅Interactive workshops with conductors and music educators

✅Musical challenges and competitions to reinforce learning

✅Final ensemble performance with all participants

Our Teaching Team

The festival is led by the artistic and pedagogical team of El Sistema Texas, along with:
Special guests from YOLA Festival, Ravinia, and universities like Rice, UH, and HSPVA
International professionals with experience in music education, youth orchestras, and inclusion programs.

✅Easy access from I-10 and school zones in Katy and Houston

✅Transportation not included, but group coordination is possible

Final Concert & Family Participation
