Choir
Give young voices a place to belong.
Singing together builds confidence, musical expression and community. Help our young singers discover what their voices can do—together.
About the program
The voice is an instrument. The choir is a community.
Our Choir program develops the voice through collective singing. Students explore pitch, rhythm, vocal technique, and musical expression while learning how their own sound becomes part of an ensemble. Rehearsals offer a place to listen, take responsibility, and grow in confidence with others.
Learning by making music together
The El Sistema tradition treats the choir as a place for artistic and personal growth. At El Sistema Texas, age-appropriate repertoire and shared rehearsal help singers develop musicianship, commitment, and a sense of belonging.
Children’s Symphony Choir
For ages 8–13, singers strengthen vocal technique, intonation, rhythm, and ensemble skills through varied repertoire.
Chamber Choir
For ages 14–20, young singers develop musicianship, expressive confidence, and the commitment needed for ensemble performance.
Adult Choir
For ages 25 and older, collective singing creates opportunities for artistic expression and community participation.
Preparatory Choir does not require an entrance audition. The other choir levels use auditions; our choral team confirms placement and availability.
