This year, skip the flowers or the traditional dinner at a busy restaurant. Instead, dress up and take Mom to delight in a fancy concert tailored for her. El Sistema Texas presents its first concert of the season: Mother’s Day Concert. The event is on Saturday, May 11, at 5:00 pm.
Musicians, ages 4 to 21, are warming up to offer a unique experience. The Hispanic Children’s and Youth Orchestras and the Hispanic Choirs will present their first concert of the season with a genuine execution of their musical talent.
The vice president and founder of El Sistema Texas, Rhomy López, explained this concert is one of the most relevant presentations within the cycle of their annual events. “This performance is a gala-type. It is for the women who support our children. They stay at rehearsals, and many others volunteer. This concert is to honor them.”
López highlighted that the revenue of this concert will help the nonprofit organization to cover upcoming expenses such as their European tour and two seminars in Los Angeles and Chicago. “
If you want to give your mom a special evening with heartwarming melodies, get your tickets online at this link. The entrance fee is $20 and for children over three years of age is $10.
Public participation will boost El Sistema Texas’ mission of offering high-quality musical education to Hispanic children in Houston. “We invite our community to support this initiative. Children are the performers, and their concert is worth advocating,” added López.
This Mother’s Day performance will be at Church on the Rock at 433 Barker Cypress Rd, Houston, Texas. 77094.
