Dine in while listening to live classical music at Russo’s New York Pizzeria and Italian Kitchen. The Westgreen location will host a Spirit Day to help El Sistema Texas raise funds for their European tour.

The fundraising is on Sunday, April 28. Then, at 5:00 PM, ten musicians will play their instruments at the restaurant. Every purchase will help this group of students with their upcoming travel fees.

Rhomy López, founder of El Sistema Texas, highlighted that there is a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the musician’s trip to Italy and France.

Ten children, ages 8 to 15, will play with other artists in an International Encounter of Children’s Orchestras. The tour starts on June 1 and finishes on June 12. Young musicians will play their instruments in Rome, Italy, and Paris, France.

López invites the Katy community to enjoy a unique dinner at Russo’s Westgreen location. “Come to Russos and collaborate with the talented children of El Sistema Texas, who will travel with their instruments and melodies to represent us in Europe.”
